3G service Activation Setting for Android, iPhone, Windows, Symbian Mobile Phones in Pakistan

After a few days, there will be 3G all over Pakistan. So it is good to know the process of 'How to activate 3G in Android Phones for Zong, Ufone, Telenor and Mobilink 3G?'.

How to Activate 3G service on my Android phone?

Most latest mobiles have Android jelly beans 4.2 version with latest phones having Kitkat 4.4 version. So this tutorial will be for Android version 4.2<.

Automatic 2G 3G 4G Setting for Android 4.3;

This setting will work automatically if there are 3G signals or 4G service. If no 3G 4G is present, it will automatically use 2G service.
Setting for 3G in Android 4.3 are as follows;

Go to Setting
Then click 'More'

3G service Activation Setting for Android Mobile Phones

Then Mobile Networks.

Now please click as shown in picture on 'Network Mode'.

Now please select 'WCDMA (preferred) / GSM. It will make your smartphone capable of searching 3G singnal.

Congratulations! You have done settings successfully.

Now 3G will work on your Android smartphone as soon as 3G services are available by Ufone, Zong, Telenor and Mobilink. If 3G service is provided by companies and signals are present then your mobile will automatically connect to 3G network.

Note: This option 'WCDMA Only' can also be selected but when 3G signals disappear you will have no network service, So always use 'WCDMA (preffered) / GSM'.

Checking is it 3G?

Once 3G service is provided by companies and you are connected to it and you want to confirm that it is 2G or 3G. Then go to setting > then 'About Phone > Status to see 'Mobile Network Type' which is in this example as follows;
