Mobile Phone Users in Pakistan Reach 136.5 Million 

Cellular subscriptions in Pakistan reached all time high mark of 136.5 million at the end of March 2014, said recently issued stats by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

With cellular teledensity of 74.9 percent, mobile phone users in Pakistan stood at 136,469,886 at the end of first quarter 2014.

During March, Mobilink crossed 38 million subscribers for the first time. Similarly, Zong crossed Ufone’s subscription count to become number three operator in the country

March remained vital for Telenor as well, that crossed 35 million mark for the first time in its history. Telenor is now just three million subscriptions short of Mobilink, the market leader in Pakistan’s cellular industry

Warid stood at 12.94 million subscribers.
